Day by Day Privacy Policy

Day by Day (하루씩, the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
1. No account, no server storage
The App has no sign-up or login and never asks for your name, phone number, or email address.
What you enter is stored only on your device. It is not sent to or stored on our servers, and the App does not use iCloud sync:
- Challenge titles, emoji, colors, start dates, and type (starting or quitting)
- Check-ins, best records, and how many times you started over
- App settings such as your home style
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on the same device read this data to display it. Widgets also run entirely on your device.
2. Photos and sharing
- Photo background cards: only the single photo you pick in the photo picker is passed to the App, and it is used on your device to draw the card. The App cannot see the rest of your library and never uploads photos.
- Save to Photos: when you tap Save, the App adds the card image to Photos. It asks only for permission to add photos.
- Sharing: when you share, the card image goes to the app you choose (Instagram, Messages, and so on). From there, that app's privacy policy applies.
3. Information sent to third parties

- Information sent to Firebase and AdMob never includes your challenge titles, text you wrote, or your photos.
4. Ads and tracking permission
- The App is free and supported by Google AdMob ads, shown at the bottom of the Settings and Records screens and occasionally after you finish sharing a card.
- From the second launch, the App asks once for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. If you allow it, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier. If you don't, every feature works exactly the same.
- You can change this at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, ad consent is collected with Google's consent tool and can be changed at any time in the App under Settings > Ad privacy settings.
5. International transfers
Using the Google services above may transfer information outside your country, including to the United States, where Google LLC (https://support.google.com/policies) operates data centers. Retention follows each service's policy (Firebase Analytics: the period set for the project; Crashlytics: up to 90 days). If you do not want this, you can stop using and delete the App; nothing further is sent after deletion.
6. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (under 14 in Korea) and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
7. Your choices
- Delete a challenge: ⋯ menu on the home screen > Delete
- Delete everything stored on the device: delete the App
- Change tracking permission: iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Stop sending analytics, crash, and ad data: delete the App
We cannot access data stored on your device, so you view, edit, and delete it directly in the App.
8. Sharing with others
Apart from the service providers in section 3 and the sharing you choose yourself, the App does not provide your information to third parties.
