Go Again Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Go Again (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
1. No account, no server of ours
The App has no sign-up or login and never asks for your name, phone number, or email. We do not run a server, and we cannot collect or see your records.
2. What stays on your device and in your iCloud
The following information you enter is stored only on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database:
- Saved places (name, address/neighbourhood, category, coordinates) and your go-again rating (Go again / Maybe / Once was enough)
- Visits (date, who you went with, occasion, notes, what to order next time)
- Photos you choose
- Custom companion names, reminder and other settings
iCloud sync uses Apple’s CloudKit and stores data in the private area of your Apple Account; we cannot access it. If iCloud is unavailable, data stays on your device only. iCloud data is handled under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
3. Information sent when you search for a place
When you search, the following is sent to a search service to return results:
| Recipient | Information sent | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Kakao Local API (places in Korea) | Your search text, your current coordinates if you allowed location access, and network information such as IP address | Search results, favouring nearby places |
| Apple Maps (Japan and elsewhere, map display) | Your search text, the area around your location if you allowed location access, and network information | Search results and maps |
Your ratings, visits, notes, and photos are never sent to search services. See Kakao’s privacy policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy for details.
4. Location
Location access is requested only while using the App and is used only for “Nearby” suggestions and to rank search results around you. Location history is not stored or sent to us. Search and recording work without it.
5. Photos
The App uses the iOS photo picker, so it receives only the photos you select and never accesses your whole library. Imported photos are stored as described in section 2.
6. Reminders
The weekly “go back” reminder is an iOS local notification scheduled on your device. No push server is used and its contents are not sent anywhere. Turn it off in the App’s settings or in iPhone Settings > Notifications.
7. Ads and tracking
The App currently shows no ads, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you. If ads are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first.
8. Sharing and map apps
- Share cards, videos, and lists go only to the app or person you choose when you tap Share.
- “Open in Maps” passes the place name and coordinates to NAVER Map or Apple Maps.
9. International transfers
Search, map display, and iCloud sync may involve processing by Apple Inc. in the United States and other countries where Apple operates data centers. You can turn off iCloud for Go Again in iPhone Settings > [your name] > iCloud, or stop using the App.
10. Your choices
- Edit or delete records: from a place’s detail screen
- Delete data on the device: delete the App
- Delete data in iCloud: iPhone Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Go Again
- Change location, photo, or notification access: iPhone Settings > Go Again
11. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your information with third parties, other than the search requests in section 3 and the sharing you choose in section 8.
12. Children
The App is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
13. Contact
- Operator: Go Again developer (Double Y Labs)

14. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
